Karnataka HC asks trial court to pause on framing charges against seer

Granting partial relief to Shivamurthy Murugha Sharanaru, the pontiff of Murugha Mutt, Chitradurga, the high court asked the special court to “hold its hands” till July 1 with regard to framing charges against him under the provisions of Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes (Prevention of Atrocities) Act, Religious Institutions (Prevention of Misuse) Act, and section 201 of Indian Penal Code (destruction of evidence).
